About
David Neiman is the president of Athlete Interactive, the digital branding agency for professional athletes. A branding specialist, web development veteran and former sportswriter, David has a unique understanding of athlete brands, in-depth knowledge of digital media, and a locker room level comprehension of professional sports.
For David, founding Athlete Interactive was the natural convergence of his passion for sportswriting, and his extensive experience in the online world.
A web development veteran, David began his career in 1996 as the Editor of PBS Online, the flagship web site of the Public Broadcasting Service (www.pbs.org). During his tenure at PBS, David and a talented team of staff and outside producers won back-to-back Webby Awards, the most prestigious accolade given on the web. In 1998, David started his own web development company, producing award-winning online experiences marked by rich, multimedia-driven content.
David has also worked as a sportswriter for the Washington Post, Miami Herald and other award-winning publications for most of the past decade. A West-Coast based correspondent, he has covered every major sport at the college and professional levels, specializing in features and in-depth human interest stories.
Athlete Interactive began from a simple observation: namely, that the web sites of professional athletes were built without a strategic purpose in mind.
Since then, David and his talented group of designers, programmers and content specialists have redefined the way athletes represent themselves online, creating the most powerful, substantive marketing system for athletes found on the Internet today.
